Trailer
Through the Breaking Glass is a surrealist tale of grief and fragmentation: told through the language of dreams, repetition, and memory. The film dissects identity as though it's a mirror, fractured, reflecting, evolving.
The story draws inspiration from Luis Buñuel, Andrei Tarkovsky, and Lacanian theory—with a modern lens on mental health, guilt, and recursive time.
Full Film. 13 minutes
What started as a personal exploration into mourning became a global production that united more than 100 visual effects artists across three continents, coordinated entirely by MTA. We built a virtual community where compositors and digital artists shared knowledge and evolved the project together, with support from over 15 companies worldwide.
The artistry extended to music, recorded by the Castilla y León Symphonic Orchestra (100 musicians) and the University of Valladolid chorus (100 voices). In total, more than 250 artists contributed, including talent from the world’s most renowned productions, over 11 days of shooting in the Basque Country, Valladolid, and Madrid.
The result was a landmark achievement: awarded an Honorary Mention at Palm Springs, recognized at multiple Academy Award–qualifying festivals, and selected in over 50 international festivals—a testament to the scale, ambition, and success of the project
